DON’T WASTE YOUR ANGELS

March 13, 2019

When you’re young, it’s easy to mouth off that people are replaceable. You’ll grow to realize that some just aren’t. Lose them and you’ll just have to live with the handicap for the rest of your life.

Before you become that wrecking ball that ends up in church in 10 years time begging God for a second chance, check yourself now.

Some of you have met your helper, but you slept with them.

It’s not every attractive person you must sleep with or even date. Hollywood lied.

Say NO to abusive konji. You know what I mean. It will steal from you.

She’s not you type abi? Wave and keep walking. Don’t touch, don’t toast. Look down the road to the inevitable painful separation and broken expectations.

That ‘smallie’ whose time you’re intentionally wasting today, she won’t be foolish forever.

One day, she will read a John Obidi post and something will click inside her head.

Much like the prodigal son, she will say to herself, “I will arise and return to my father. Even His servants are treated better.”

One foot in front of the other, step by step, she’ll begin the journey to making the rest of her life the best of her life.

She will one day be in a position to decide your future or that of your offspring. She’s better as an ally, not an enemy.

Ask those girls who had ‘assignment boyfriends’ back in the University; or the naive boys they used for material benefits.

That clueless nerd later found himself and became a Fortune 500 CEO. Fear will not let those girls DM him today.

Here’s the conclusion of the whole matter. In this jungle (Nigeria), opportunities to escape the stranglehold of the middle class are not many.

You need relationships. You need friends. You need favour. You need as many influential people on your side as possible.

You need all the help and favour you can get.

DON’T HURT PEOPLE!

Don’t waste your angels.

When you’re young, it’s easy to mouth off that people are replaceable. You’ll grow to realize that some just aren’t.

Lose them and you’ll just have to live with the handicap for the rest of your life.
